Who We Are

We are a young, growing, mostly 2nd generation Korean English-speaking Church, nevertheless we welcome people “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples” (Rev 7:9). It is beneficial to focus and orient our hearts, minds, and wills on who we are as a church:

We're a community of worshippers,1 gathering to hear Christ’s voice from the Word,2 responding in heartfelt joy and reverence for their Creator and Redeemer,3 zealous in their love for Christ’s Church and the world.

Worship
Worship is the heart of all we do because our chief end is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.4 Therefore we set aside Sundays as the “the Lord’s Day”5 to join in worship.

Preaching
The Bible is the word of life (Phil 2:16) and in them we delight, therefore, God’s Word comprises are worship. God shows the benefits of redemption in the Word, which is made effectual to the elect for salvation.6

Sacraments
The sacraments visibly illustrate the spiritual reality taught in Scripture so that we might experience Christ and have fellowship with him. At this time, we partake the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper with DKPC.

Fellowship
It’s a joy to be a covenant family so we seek one another’s company whenever possible. We eat, pray, study God’s Word, and play together all to the glory of God. It’s important that we hold each other accountable, therefore, we practice church discipline.7
